Finally, to handle updates from NuGet, the licensing for Xtreme Route has been enforced so that an old license can't be used with versions that is more than 1 year newer than the license. At the same time, some part of Xtreme Route has been made available without a license so anyone can download and test it before spending money on a license. More details below.
Xtreme Route uses an optional subscription licensing model. This gives the buyer of Xtreme Route the option to pay only once for simpler route projects or pay each year for continuous updates and support.
However, a subset of Xtreme Route can be used without a license, specifically these functionalities:With a valid license, Xtreme Route can be updated, and e-mail support is available. Updates can either be manual downloaded or with the help of NuGet.
This means that a license can be used forever, but only with versions up to 1 year after the license was bought. To be able to continuously update Xtreme Route, as well as get e-mail support, a license renewal is required once per year.
The fee for license renewal is the same as the total purchase fee.
